Gelatin Filters

Thin, flexible optical filters made by mixing organic dyes into a gelatin layer, which is then mounted between thin acetate sheets. While highly accurate for fine-tuning light sources, they are fragile, susceptible to moisture, and prone to fading over time from heat.
