Aperture Priority (labeled A or Av on most cameras) is a semi-automatic shooting mode where you manually select the f-stop (aperture), while the camera automatically sets the shutter speed for proper exposure. It is widely used in camera digitizing (scanning film or documents) because the aperture directly dictates lens sharpness.
