White Balance: The process of adjusting your camera or software settings so that the colors in your digitized files perfectly match the physical original. Because different light sources have their own color temperatures, white balance compensates for those shifts—ensuring a white page or a neutral gray border renders accurately, without unwanted orange or blue tints.
