An uncompressed or losslessly compressed digital file (typically in DNG, TIFF, or uncompressed RAW formats) generated during primary image capture. Maintained as the permanent reference object, an archival master is preserved in its highest bit-depth and native color space without lossy spatial compression or destructive edits.
