Mirrorless Camera: A digital camera system constructed without the internal reflex mirror mechanism found in traditional DSLRs. Because there is no mirror blocking the path, light travels directly through the lens elements straight to the digital image sensor. This design permits continuous electronic rendering of the scene, allowing photographers to compose images via the rear LCD monitor or an Electronic Viewfinder (EVF) while benefiting from live exposure previews, near-silent operation, and fast burst shooting.
