Perspective Correction

The digital adjustment of an image to correct geometric distortion, such as converging parallel lines caused by a camera that was not perfectly square or parallel to the subject. In rigorous archival scanning, achieving mechanical alignment during capture is always preferred over digital perspective correction to avoid losing edge resolution.
